Joelle Hoverson's Free Handwarmers Pattern
One of my friends asked me in
I was happy to oblige.
I can't just go and knit a pattern I've already tried, that would be too easy, I had to find something different. With each pattern I like to try something new and conquer the mountain of a new knitting technique. This time was no different. I found a pattern on Ravelry.com that was knit in the round, using back and forth knitting to create a thumb hole.
What I liked about this pattern is that while it's just ribbing, it has a look of being cabled. I love cabling - that was a mountain I hiked last year - I just don't have time for it. I like to knit as I watch TV, read, carry on conversations, and more.
I tend to bind off very tight so I was thrilled to find Jeny’s Super Simple Bind Off; it made for a perfect stretchy edge. I did a rib pattern bind off. Loved this pattern. It’s an attractive, textured knit in an easy, slightly different rib stitch.

I think all knitters like projects that are quick. The near-instant gratification of a finished object feels great. I'm happy to say that I finished the pair yesterday and had them in the mail this morning! Can't wait to hear how she likes them.
